Pimp Yo Shades Part 2
If you haven’t seen Part 1, Check it out HERE… Ok, now that we’re up to speed, I have the next and final step for this particular pair of shades. I found stencils from Montactical.com, and once I saw them I HAD to add some flair to my already pimped out shades. I got the Gadsden snake and a We the People stencils.
Don’t Tread on Me – Carefully peel the back of the stencil off and place it in the desired area. You may have to complete cuts on the sticker to get clean separation of the pieces. Mask off anything you don’t want painted and then spray light coats until it looks good to you. Let it dry.
We the People – I wanted to display my love for the founding fundamentals of this country and make it known to those around me where I stand. However, I jacked up this second stencil during application and left that side blank. I tried doing a transfer paper thing but utterly failed. I do like how my shades turned out, despite my mishap applying the stencil. I will definitely try putting it on something else in the future.
Seal It Up – NOW I’m ready to seal the paint to protect the awesome stencil. I use a flat clear coat for this, however I don’t have a preference on the brand.
You gotta check out Montactical.com. They do awesome duricoat paint jobs on firearms ranging from solid one color to the custom wall mounted variety. They have painted many firearms of your favorite YouTubers like James Yeager and TheHossUSMC. Of course they sell a variety of stencils as well.
Be safe. Use wisdom. God bless
